Montessori Section

 We follow the Montessori teaching method that makes the children progress faster in the learning process. In the class with age appropriate activities and learning tools, we try to create a flexible environment to meet the needs and interests of every child in our care. In Reception the children are engaged in pre – writing activities like colouring, tracing, metal insects, pegging and practical life activities. By the end of the year, they have developed fine motor skills and eye – hand co – ordination. In Montessori I English & Urdu letter sounds and in Maths numbers from 0 – 100 are taught. Great emphasis is laid on sight words. The majority are able to read and write fluently by the end of the year. In Montessori II descriptive writing and picture story is done frequently. As a result children’s achievements are much greater, not only in reading but also in their writing. Besides these some of the other activities are: Story telling through theatre once a month, Class presentation is done weekly and once a year for the parents, Art projects are also done weekly and Baby Chef activity is done once a month. The school year runs from September to May. The students are tested twice during this period i.e. December & May. Ages at the time of admission: Reception: 2.9 – 4, Montessori I: 4 – 5, Montessori II: 5 – 6
